But I still think from the way they're introduced that Catherine's deliberately choosing these verses because they seem "heroine-like" to her - they seem like the kind of thing she should know if she's like the girls in other novels. From her unstudious habits - there's no way I'd think Catherine would be finding quotations not in the common use!
