Mrs. Allen continued Written by Virginia (3/3/2009 9:49 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Could have been a family arrangement, penned by Patty Patricia

These suggestions are all possibly right. Everytime I read NA I find myself wondering about this question -- why indeed did Mr. Allen marry Mrs. Allen? It's a minor point but one that I don't think JA really explains.
