Bloviate definition   Written by TimLee (3/2/2009 9:40 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ulp! Are you on chapter 5 already?, penned by Line
Are you new?

Here's an entry from the American Heritage dictionary.

blo·vi·ate (blô'vç-ât')
intr.v. blo·vi·at·ed, blo·vi·at·ing, blo·vi·ates Slang
To discourse at length in a pompous or boastful manner: "the rural Babbitt who bloviates about 'progress' and 'growth'" (George Rebeck).
[Mock-Latinate formation, from blow.]

This is one of my favorite words to work into conversations or RoP posts.

Tim

P.S. See my post below, too, about having fun with the word bloviate. Then give it a try.
