Agree about Isabella's role   Written by Kaye M. (3/2/2009 6:27 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Good point, penned by Patty Patricia
Are you new?

The text does not say anything about Catherine reading horrid novels before meeting Isabella. Naturally, Isabella would have pushed her friend into whatever she was wild about at the moment. And Catherine's inexperience with Gothic novels makes her much more likely to believe them credible.
