I love how the description of Henry...   Written by JoAnn (3/2/2009 1:11 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ch. 3: Henry had me at "hello", penned by Delories
Are you new?

...parallels the descriptions given earlier of Catherine. In saying that he was, "...if not quite handsome, was very near it" echoes the earlier statements of Catherine looking "almost pretty", and the implication at the end of chapter 2 ("...and had the company only seen her three years before, they would now have thought her exceedingly handsome.) that, relatively speaking, Catherine is much improved over what she used to be, though still not up to par with a true beauty.

Beautifully constructed!

(OT - my spam filter question is "The heroine of P&P is Elizabeth ____________" and my post was rejected just now when I absentmindedly filled in "Darcy" - I think I've been reading too many sequels! LOL!)
