I really like this detail of nursing the dormouse Written by Delories (3/2/2009 10:53 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I suppose nursing a dormouse..., penned by Line

It makes me see Catherine like a real little girl, doing the sorts of things that a real little girl in a large family living in the country would do for amusement.

One of the many lovely things about NA are these homey details--which sometimes involve domestic animals-- of everyday life, in the midst of how arch and over-the-top it can get. It grounds the characters.
