If JA is bringing her forward as a normal girl instead of a "heroine", perhaps it was more normal than we would think for girls surrounded by brothers to behave this way. She enjoys playing hard and playing often - studying less if she can possibly get away with it. That sounds like a pretty normal kid to me!
