Breathtakingly beautiful geniuses from dysfunctional families.   Written by nan duval (3/1/2009 7:21 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Heroines, penned by Laraine
Are you new?

That is what the prevailing character of romantic heriones appears since it is the antithesis of Catherine Morland. Catherine appears to me to be a pleasant, normal girl from a pleasant, normal family--the kind of girl with whom one likes to have one's daughters associate. That she is such an unlikely heroine seems to imply that she will have an unusual adventure.
