Know about Eleanor's viscount, and how things developed between them after Catherine left would have have been just wonderful.

Does Eleanor in the book mean that JA believed 'gothic' type heroines could exist?
Perhaps JA concedes that the background of the gothic heroine is possible in reality, but the other things not?
