I have a picture Written by JulieW (4/21/2006 11:21 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, What a lovely series of photos, penned by Tracy W

of the Rumford stove, and it is a fearsome thing to behold.

It is horseshoe shaped and has valves and stoppers galore, making it seem very complicated to operate.

I would scan it in , but ,sadly, I have had no access to scanner or email these past 2 months and so Mryetta and I( who share a transatlantic library ) have been scouting round for decent illustrations for this GR: between us we have amnaged quite well....but I still can't get some pictures over to her. So frustrating.

Please,remind me in a few months time,and I'll put the picture up at L+T, Tracy.

As to Burhgley- they use a hook on a stick.....;-)
