Enjoyed This Post   Written by BarbaraB (4/17/2006 5:15 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The 'ruined chapel' and the 'nun'. Oh, so gothic. (focus), penned by Reeba
Are you new?

This is a fun post and, yes, a great deal of creepiness going on. I am not one for scary stuff generally---have never liked horror movies---don't mind things that are fantastical such as The Blob (the old Steve McQueen) one. I wished I had gotten a chance to read Udolpho, though, before this group read. Wasn't it done last year in a GR? It would give more depth to NA if I had read it but since I haven't, posts like this one and others which comment on Udolpho and make comparisons help a great deal. I haven't quite gotten to the scarier parts of the book yet. Catherine is suppose to be getting ready for dinner but has been distracted by the large chest... I was kind of dreading going on but this post, now, has me all anticipation to see what adventures await our dear Catherine (shudder, shudder) :-)
