The other thing I found interesting was the way they addressed each other face-to-face.

Isabella calls John "brother". This can be taken as intimate, but to only call him by his relation to herself and not use his name/identity...
John doesn't really talk to Isabella much. To Catherine, he calls her 'Belle'.
The Morlands and the Tilneys are more affectionate. For the most part, they call each other by their first names, with now and again a "my dear Catherine"(Ch.7) or "my dear Eleanor"(Ch.14).

When they are talking to others, most use a 'my sister/brother' or the first name - excepting, of course, the charming John Thorpe.
