It's nice ;-) to have it all summed up Nicki.   Written by Reeba (4/14/2006 7:17 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, My focus - Brother and sister relationships, penned by Nicki
Are you new?

I agree with Thorpe's teasing of his sister's, it is a bit extreme.

Isabella seems to be the same. She tells Catherine,
“You will be so infinitely dearer to me, my Catherine, than either Anne or Maria: I feel that I shall be so much more attached to my dear Morland’s family than to my own."
This was a pitch of friendship beyond Catherine.

I am sure Catherine would not understand such declarations.
Maybe Isbella is being her effusive self in her normal artificial way, and doesn't really mean it.

The Tilneys are an ideal pair of brother and sister, with all the teasing as it should be.
Though I think James and Catherine are a good pair too. They are both much younger, and James is carried away with his infatuation.
