The effects of nature

in consequence of the missive, Beechen Cliff walk- *nature* etc. (my focus), penned by Reeba
I find it interesting that Catherine's acquaintance with the Tilneys improves during the walk more so than it does during any off the visits to the rooms. Catherine also determines that John Thorpe is not an agreeable person during their carriage ride in the country. Meanwhile Catherine is still making shallow conversation with Isabella, and the two of them have never gotten further than the Crescent. Perhaps JA is making a point about nature being open , honest, and illuminating?
