Eleanor as a Gothic heroine   Written by Ramya (4/12/2006 5:10 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, A Subtle, Tactful Eleanor Tilney (long), penned by Pennie
Are you new?

I never thought of her that way, but you are right. She also provides an excellent contrast to Isabella. Catherine is starting to sound a little like Isabella recently(thousnad times, ten thousand times, etc)- I hope she associates more with another Gothic heroine like ET rather ;)

Also, I have often thought that Eleanor might very well have teased Henry about Catherine in a 'nice' way, LOL. That could be what flattered Henry, to ask her to dance right away. It is also a good thing that both brother and sister seem to realise how artless, but sincere Catherine is!
