Mr Allen wasn't too concerned about Catherine riding with John Thorpe once or twice, or he would have mentioned it before. His concern was doing it often.

Now and then it is very well; but going to inns and public places together!

... if young ladies are frequently driven...

As far as it has gone hitherto, there is no harm done
