This is a great scene, Henry pretending not to notice Catherine is there while sulking/pouting in a sophisticated manly way. Two scenes of this---refusing to catch her eye though he probably gets in a few surreptitious glances. Obviously he doesn't want to keep this up forever so a bit of a concession finally with a rather cool but polite acknowledgement. Then practically before the curtain can finish falling, he is out of his box lickety-split and around to visit Catherine. LOL! He is not prepared for Catherine calling him out about his behavior which, in light of her explanation might seem a bit petty, so he avoids having to admit his feelings by asking her to make room for him and discussing the play. Too cute. :)
