James   Written by Emmeline (4/11/2006 6:52 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, What do you think of James, so far?, penned by Maisy
Are you new?

James seems to be a good brother and have a good relationship with Catherine. So I liked him at first.

]Is he also innocent and inexperienced, like Catherine?

Yes, that's what I think of him sometimes.

]What do you make of James trying to convince catherine to give up her engagement to Miss Tilney (ch. 8)? I know that James does it because he wants to be alone with Isabella, but why doesn't he see how wrong it is to pressure his own sister into doing something which she believes is wrong?

Here, I do not think well of him at all. He is very wrong in trying to persuade his sister to do wrong.
