Oh how fun!   Written by Kelley B (4/5/2006 8:28 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Limerick Contest #1, penned by Carolyn
Are you new?

Sorry! I did two and couldn't decide which one I liked more. I hope this isn't considered cheating! :) I chose Mrs. Allen and muslins because I simply love her character!

#1
Mrs. Allen knows muslin, you see.
A keen eye for lace has she.
That dress she regards
Was five shillings a yard!
So Henry was pleased as can be.

#2
“Please do not tumble my gown,”
Mrs. Allen will cry through the town.
If a stranger will stare
She’ll think, “Is there a tear?”
Then resume when no damage is found.
