Are you new?

Is being able to focus really a symptom of ADD? I thought it was the opposite. (The name of the syndrome is Attention Deficit Disorder, after all). Does this mean that everyone who has ever gotten lost in a film or a mystery novel or a mathematical proof has ADD?

I am also not sure where you see Catherine as being hyperfocussed on music. The only reference I can think of is JA's line in chapter 1 ...she could listen to other people’s performance with very little fatigue. Which hardly sounds like a state of hyperfocus to me.
