Opinions on Mrs. Allen...I'm curious :)   Written by Kelley B (4/4/2006 3:08 p.m.)
Are you new?

I'd love to know how everyone is picturing Mrs. Allen as they read NA. The few adaptations I've seen have portrayed her as silly and giggly and way more animated than I ever imagined her. When I read NA, I picture Mrs. Allen as a woman with a certain air about her. Not really lost in her own world but not always interested in what's going on around her. I imagine her looking as if she's pondering something philosophical (until you find out she's just mentally comparing her white muslin with her spotted muslin). When she speaks, I hear a very matter-of-fact kind of voice. She means what she says whether it's helpful or not. I guess it's hard to explain. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Who is your Mrs. Allen?

:)
