The Thomas Tompion Clock   Written by JulieW (4/4/2006 1:04 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Showing off the NA Brock illustrations yet again, penned by Heather L

Are you new?

Yes, Heather, the clock in the Brock illustration still stands in the Pump Room today.

It is a long case clock made by one of the most famous English clock makers( and maker of sundials etc), Thomas Tompion, in 1709 ,especially for the Pump Room.He gave the clock to the Bath Coproration.

If I were a critical sort I woud say that the clock is a little more streamlined than shown above....I'll see if I can scan a picture later....;-)
