in consequence of the missive, First Time Impressions of Isabella Thorpe, penned by Pennie
During my first read of NA, I recall my thoughts on Isabella quite clearly. At first I was amused by her and it seemed nice Catherine had a confidante.
I noticed Catherine picked up some of Isabella's excessive speech mannerisms - that made me ponder Isabella's influence.
Before I finished those chapters, I vaguely wondered if Isabella was teasing Catherine, alittle like Henry Tilney did, and if her superficiality was harmless.
So much for my first impressions of Isabella Thorpe.
I'm sure she grew up to be amazingly like Mrs Elton !
