This is now a small but interesting museum, run by the Bath Preservation Trust, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any visitor to Bath. My pictures are taken from an old guide book to the building in my possession- try playing spot the differences!
Here we have a picture of the Hall. The sedan chair , used by many visitors to Bath including Catherine Moreland, would have been brought in here on your leaving and returning to the house.( if you go to the virtual tour on the website linked below you can see one standing waiting to be used...)
This is one version of the dining room. Note the pineapple on the dining table on the website: more( much more than you ever wanted to know) on this later in the Group Read!
This is the Library( set on the ground floor of the house)
The drawing room is on the first floor.
This is one of the bedrooms. The website also has a lovely picture of the restored kitchen ( in the basement of the house). Not somewhere mentioned in the book , note!
