To give you some idea of the type of rooms Mr Allen might have taken to house his party in Bath I thought you might like to see inside the doors of Number One Royal Crescent;-)

This is now a small but interesting museum, run by the Bath Preservation Trust, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any visitor to Bath.

My pictures are taken from an old guide book to the building in my possession- try playing spot the differences!

Here we have a picture of the Hall. The sedan chair , used by many visitors to Bath including Catherine Moreland, would have been brought in here on your leaving and returning to the house.( if you go to the virtual tour on the website linked below you can see one standing waiting to be used...)

This is the Library( set on the ground floor of the house)
