Catherine noticed   Written by Phil (4/4/2006 9:52 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I liked that too! She is noticed as the crowd thins, penned by Caron
Are you new?

I think we owe a lot to Mrs Allen taking Catherine shoppingthe first few days of the trip. Mrs. Allen's preoccupation with fashion surely saved Catherine the benefit of looking like a country bumpkin from a family of ten. She obviously attracted Mr. THorpe and Mr. Tilney and the two men at the ball. If she had not had the makeover given by Mrs. Allen she would have been the target of ridicule.
