Who else but Henry?   Written by Karon (4/2/2006 7:34 p.m.)
Are you new?

I always love the part when Henry puts on "a set smile" an affectedly softened voice and (priceless) "a simpering air" to ask all the old worn out questions one asks about Bath. I think this is when I began to realize that Henry was something special when I read this book for the first time. Much as I love most of them I cannot imagine any of JA's main heroes acting so playfully. I love too when he notes that Catherine should describe him as "a most extraordinary genius". Again really playful and endearing.
