Are you new?

I would assume that the mention of attornies had something to do with Mr Thorpes will or the handling of his estate when he died. Perhaps the lord is the lord of their land who did not help them as he ought? Or a lord who did not marry one of her daughters (or her considering 20 years ago)?


Mrs Thorpe is obviously still bitter about it which you would be if it were money as you'd still be dealing with the consequences.
