Or so i've heard. Henry's mockery of small talk and journals seems jesting with some truth.

Methinks Henry was gently teasing Mrs Allan about muslims and she takes him so seriously on her favourite subject.

Maybe a comment by JA on Mrs Allan's own materialism. ;)
