As MandyN suggested on the regular NA board, here is a thread for laugh-out-loud lines. This novel really shows Austen's comic genious, which earns it a special place in my heart.
So many lines to choose from, but I shall resist naming them all (to give the other ladies a chance to exhibit). The line I choose ends Ch. 6. (Didn't we all know someone like Isabella in school?):
Catherine had nothing to oppose against such reasoning; and therefore, to show the independence of Miss Thorpe, and her resolution of humbling the sex, they set off immediately as fast as they could walk, in pursuit of the two young men.>
