I agree on the idea of the older ones taking care of the younger ones. There seems to be a bond between the Morlands (at least between Catherine and James). I can easily imagine them as the type of family that look out for each other. Perhaps Mrs. Morland could safely leave some of the tasks of seeing to the younger Morlands to the older ones.
