Another one   Written by Heather L (4/1/2006 1:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Quotations, especially Shakespeare, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

The inclusion of The Hare and His Many Friends is another example. The hare is a sweet-natured creature who is friends with everyone, but finds that nobody is willing to be her true friend when she most needs their help.

Catherine calls many people "friend" in these opening chapters -- the Allens, the Thorpes, and she would probably like to call Mr. Tilney a friend as well. It will be interesting to see which of these many friends are true friends.
