My impressions halfway through MP1   Written by GinnyP (10/25/2010 10:36 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, If you got 'em, watch 'em., penned by Carol
Are you new?

have improved with each episode, but I am still trying to deal with Lady Bertram's super-space-cadet brand of insipidity. I like this Fanny more and more, especially after taking a break after Episode 2 and watching Sylvestra Le Touzel's "The water in Majorca..." commercial on YouTube three or four times.

Two scenes I've really appreciated so far are first, the scene where Sir Thomas tries to show his displeasure to Mrs. Norris of her misjudging leadership during his absence in Antigua. His looks over by the window, revolving between exasperation and politeness and scorn while Mrs. Norris deploys her diversionary tactics are just so, so perfect.

Second, I love the scene at Fanny's ball where her brother William pinches her chin. That's the happy, expressive Fanny that we've been waiting for! The actress performed exactly to my taste.

Kids make things hectic, but I hope to finish the last three episodes in the next few days. Everyone's comments above have influenced me to take MP2 and MP3 out of my Netflix queue.
