Julia and Tom   Written by Ramya (10/25/2010 3:46 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The consequences of Henry's actions, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

I forgot all about Julia! Yes, Julia would never have married Yates but for the scandal. Perhaps it did end well even for her. The narrator tells us that she was not so far gone as Maria was, and perhaps, she may not have received a better offer, considering the stain of Maria's adultery and divorce.

I did remember Tom, but wasn't sure whether to put him in the list on not, because his illness seems to have "softened" him up already. But the shock of Maria's behavior was no doubt very material in his subsequent growth.
