Ulterior Motives   Written by Robbin (10/23/2010 6:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, 'First knowledge' etiquette, penned by Tom P2
Are you new?

I am just not convinced that Henry ever truly thinks only of Fanny however I can’t disagree. (:D) It is possible Henry might not have ulterior motives in giving Fanny first knowledge of William’s promotion. You make a good point about Edmund and Sir Thomas ensuring Fanny met William before the others in Ch. 24. If Henry is only thinking of Fanny then I agree giving her first knowledge of the promotion would be of a piece with their kindness. (:D)
