I found myself wondering the same thing, WendyBri, quite a bit. With all the emphasis on (in)compatability in marriage in MP, I like to think that Mary and all of her talents, strengths, and weaknesses will find someone who is more like her--someone who appreciates her but doesn't try to make her more than she is or take her out of her comfort zone. I guess, to use a modern, pop-psyche term, he'd be an enabler to her whims and rationalizations. I also guess that she'd be vastly happy such such a man, and he with her.
