Limericks, Week 6   Written by Carol (10/22/2010 9:57 p.m.)
Are you new?

Dear friends, I am so sorry that I'm late posting these. Real life (aka A Certain San Francisco Baseball Team in the Playoffs) got in the way. So here you go:

#1
In London the couple re-met
Henry wooed the reluctant coquette
Oh how he persisted
If she'd only resisted
Instead they must live with regret

#2
Mansfield Park is about ordination,
And Edmund’s fitting, chosen vocation.
With Fanny his wife
They’re happy for life.
Give Jane Austen a standing ovation!

#3
Portsmouth yielded a surprise or two
And a guest most unwelcome too
Oh the humiliation
And the mortification
Henry, is that really you?

#4
Miss Crawford, who once seemed so cute,
Made all of her charms rather moot.
One feels a right Charlie
When one's femme fatarlie
Takes such a large mouthful of foote.

It was a light week, this week, as we noted on the board, as well. Please Everybody Vote!! Since I'm posting these so late, I'll change the deadlines. You have until 6 pm (Pemberley time) Sunday October 24 to vote. I'll post the winner late Sunday night, and we'll still vote for the Big Winner Monday thru Tues. night, as I'd said earlier. As always, vote at..
