An observation   Written by Lisa Dalrymple (10/14/2010 11:42 a.m.)
Are you new?

I mentioned earlier that I noticed that Mrs. Norris is hardly present in this weeks' chapters. I also noticed that Lady B is suddenly shown to have two thoughts in her head, mostly about her reluctance to let Fanny go to Portsmouth. She will miss her, and won't even let Mrs. Norris convince her otherwise. I think we have more insight into her thoughts, and she speaks more, in this section than she has in all the previous weeks combined (I didn't count so I could be wrong). Fanny sets out to improve Susan, but I think she has improved Lady B without even trying.
