Two more "Never done befores" at the end of 40   Written by Cathy Allen (10/14/2010 10:53 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Other things Fanny had never done before?, penned by Cathy Allen
Are you new?

At the end of Chapter 40, when she joined the circulating library to help Susan, Fanny says she had never chosen her own books before. She also says she had never tried to help a person mature (my word) before it dawned on her to try to help Susan.

Even given the fact that this was written 200 years ago, so things were DIFFERENT (to say the least!), Fanny's life has been so incredibly sheltered, and so lacking in commonplace experiences, it's a wonder she turned out so well!

Thank you to those who found more answers to my question.
