astonishing Edmund   Written by Karen G (10/13/2010 10:58 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I think it is the WAY she said it, penned by Lisa Dalrymple
Are you new?

Frankly, while to Edmund and others who don't realize that Fanny is actually in love with Edmund, I can see how Fanny may look she's a teenage drama queen. But what self-restraint on Fanny's part not to go and admit to Edmund right here and now that she could NEVER accept Henry while there is ever a chance that she could stay devoted to Edmund for the rest of her life. Edmund is astonished at her vehemence, because he is not aware of the attachment she is hiding and which is tearing her apart at that moment. With that in mind, I do not see her in any way as a teenage pout. She is being mentally desperate here, and I really do feel for her.
