I'm trying to catch up on the reading and I was just beginning chapter 37. While I sipped my pumpkin latte (oh how I love autumn) I read how Sir Thomas had thought of the plan to send Fanny to Portsmouth "in one of his dignified musings", and I had an image of him sitting at his desk, looking out the window with his head slightly to one side, eyebrows lifted, bottom lip pushed up against the top lip, and his hand rubbing his chin. hhhmmm, maybe if I let Fanny go to Portsmouth..... I just about choked on my drink. :-D
I don't think any of my musings are very dignified.
