But my point was that he still gives into Henry. Who's in charge here, anyhow? Well, okay, obviously not Sir Thomas! Although it doesn't backfire in the way it could have...I could envision Mrs. Norris berating Fanny severely. Still, one must feel for her in this chapter and ensuing ones...she feels she's made her point so why does he keep on? (We know why, but she doesn't.)
