Portsmouth   Written by Bridget D (10/9/2010 5:30 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mansfield Park may be the lesser of two evils, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

I dont know if she'd have seen William more. if his ship was docked in Portsmouth yes, but he was away at sea fighting the French most of the time. He wasn't BASED there...

He might only be in harbour for a short while - of course she'd see him more at Portsmouth during that short time... but overall it was problaby much of a muchness. As it was, William did come to Mansfield twice for holidays and spent some more time iwth her...(and the trip to Mansfield did him some good becuase he fell in with Henry Crawford)

I agree that she wasn't as well treated at Mansfield as she might have been but I would question whether her home would be a lot better....But Im afraid that that woudl take us into spoilers...so I wont say anythign for now...
