Week 4 Limericks   Written by Carol (10/8/2010 2:21 a.m.)
Are you new?

Hello everyone! Here are this week's submissions:

#1
Mansfield did Henry disarm
Employing considerable charm
But his morals were loose
Like a runaway caboose
Resulting in irreparable harm.

#2
Fanny cries for the least little thing,
Be it sorrow or happiness bring.
To Edmund, a friend,
Nothing more, the end.
But the thought of him makes her heart sing.

#3
Mrs. Norris just makes our blood boil
And in horror we all will recoil.
Nasty by nature-
Horrible creature!
She keeps Fanny’s mind in such turmoil

#4
Henry Crawford is not a cold fish,
To catch him is Mary’s friends’ wish.
Henry is hot!
Oh no, he’s not!
Henry Haters won’t let his fans dish.

#5
Miss Crawford gave Fanny a necklace
To help her look spiffy and speckless,
But was slow to acquaint
Her with its Henry-taint.
What kind of a friend is so feckless?

#6
"What a lovely niece you've got
I admire her looks a lot"
"Yes, she looks very well
But I really must tell
It was Chapman who dressed her" (not).

#7
My news must solicit great emotion
I have forwarded William's promotion
So please marry me
My dear dear Fanny
You have my undying devotion.

I think this is a good batch, as usual. Please vote!
