Twisted.   Written by Rachel G (10/7/2010 1:55 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Bitterness, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

Twisted is a very apt description of Henry and his mind games.

Henry seduced Maria into loving him then walked away from her without a word. If it is necessary for his pride that she should then ditch her engagement as proof that she really did love him, then he is a warped individual, especially if he had no intention of marrying her (which I don't believe he did). Maybe a bit of hurt pride would do him good in the long run.

What would make a man be like that? Maybe at some level he is deeply insecure. Surely that can't be simply because he is only 5' 8" tall? I hate to think what sort of damage the Admiral might have done to young Henry's psyche
