It ticks me off no end that he criticized Fanny for deciding for herself, and for thinking of herself and not her family, when making a matrimonial decision - a decision that will affect **her** a million times more than any other member of the Bertram or Price families. For crying out loud, **she** is the one who would be marrying the man, **she** is the one who would have to live with him and put up with him every single day for the whole rest of her life, not her family! She **should** be thinking of and for herself when making that decision.
If Sir Thomas thinks Henry Crawford is so all-fired wonderful, maybe he should marry him.
