Thank you Cathy Allen and Barb JA for your personal revelations. As a lifelong Elinor-type person, it is very interesting to hear from people who's interior life is so different from my own, and to know that Fanny's roller-coater swoops from despair to ecstasy and back again are realistic. I have never been quite sure that that was the case.
