Inner strength.   Written by Rachel G (10/6/2010 8:16 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Fanny's secrets, penned by Barb JA
Are you new?

Good analysis, Barb JA. I think this scene perfectly illustrates Fanny's inner strength.

I find the way she is willing to endure Sir Thomas' accusations in order not to betray Maria and Julia is especially admirable.

I have seen opinions about Fanny Price which characterise her as a wimp or similar epithets. This scene shows clearly that Fanny is anything but weak.
