Sir T and Lady B   Written by BarbaraB (10/5/2010 11:34 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Lady B's indolence, penned by Bridget D
Are you new?

Robbin has written a really nice showcase of Lady Bertram and Rachel's thoughts were the same as mine: not only was Sir Thomas attracted to her physically but she suited him as the type of wife he wanted in the type of home he wanted to run. No doubt, from the early stages of the courtship, she deferred to his opinions and consulted him about what to think of her own ideas/thoughts/opinions (that is if she ever had any). :) Sir Thomas probably has had rare moments of irritation but nothing is perfect and has been undoubtedly willing to put up with a small amount of vexation, if indeed, there has been any at all, to get a partner so obligingly docile.
