I, too, began to wonder why Maria Ward turned out to be the epitome of indolence. I performed an armchair diagnosis. The link to my results is given below.

I have encountered several marriages that seem almost pathologically lopsided in favor of the husband. The wives seem to await their lords and masters' permission for the least little thing. Yet they are happy and these unions (where death hasn't intervened) are still going strong.

Lady B has her husband well trained. She calls and he attends her. Then she does him the ultimate politeness, she accepts his opinions and is content.


What's Wrong with Lady B?
