Are you new?

Henry is quite capable to make women love him, as we have seen, regardless of his fortune. He finds satisfaction in being loved, but he has never fallen in love himself. Fanny's attraction is that she is armed against Henry's advances, and that is a challenge to him. He is puzzled to discover she is not as simple as he thought.
